How does a session work ?

Osteopathic diagram Every session consists of certain important steps in order to make a correct diagnosis and treatment. Depending on the animal's needs, the consultation can vary for a better adaptation and a personalised care.

The session will be in English for the moment, but I’m learning Swedish and will be pleased to speak a bit Swedish with you.

Duration : Depends on the animal, between 45-70 minutes.

When to consult ?

Osteopathy is a soft medicine working in the listening of the animal and the consideration of its whole body. The action on the entire body can help your pet to naturally regain its health despite numerous and diverse pathologies. Here are the possible actions that a session can bring to your animal according to its pathology. The osteopath can also consult the animal in prevention, by carrying out an annual check-up, in order not to let certain disorders arise with age.

All animals

  • Locomotion disorders
  • Lameness, stiffness or irregularities can be the cause of multiple disorders that can be treated with an osteopathic session.
  • Reproductive system disorders
  • An animal that does not allow itself to be breed, or have hormonal disorders, can be the reason for an osteopathic session. We will try to find the origin in order to help the animal get naturally healthy again. Or, a health check-up before and after the birth.
  • Digestive or urinary disorders
  • Can be caused by a lot of different factors (vertebral disorder, nutrition...) The session will find the cause and treat it.
  • Bad posture
  • It can be treated by regular check-up, in cooperation with the owner and the farrier (for horses).
  • Specific pathologies
  • Epilepsy, Hypercorticism, Diabetes... The session will have a positive impact on the animal
  • Behavior disorders
  • Can be caused by physical factors, the session will find the cause and treat it.

Athlete animals

  • Difficulties or refusals at work
  • Can be caused by physical factors, as stiffness or contractures, the session will find the cause and treat it.
  • Sports monitoring
  • Recovery after effort, treatment of slight dysfunctions before they become too severe, anticipation to ensure good physical condition (bodybuilding, mental) throughout the season.
  • Decreased performance
  • The animal appears less fit, has difficulty recovering or no longer has the same abilities at work. One session can diagnose the disorder and treatment can cause rapid changes after the session.
  • Stress
  • The cause of stress can sometimes be an accumulation of muscle or nervous disorders, causing over-stimulation of the system.
